Federal Government Approves Workforce Pell Programs in Florida

Four short-term workforce programs in Florida received federal approval to use Pell Grant funding for eligible students.

The U.S. Department of Education says programs at Eastern Florida State College can now support training for fields including firefighting, corrections and emergency services. Workforce Pell is designed for short, job-focused programs tied to high-demand occupations.
