Florida Adopts New AI Rules for Public Classrooms

Florida’s State Board of Education adopted binding rules governing artificial intelligence and education technology from VPK through college.

The Department of Education says the framework requires transparency, parental notice, student-data protections and limits on companion-style AI. The rules also direct schools to evaluate technology based on instructional value and keep teachers at the center of classroom decisions.
